I graduated from Purdue University December 2015 with a degree in Studio Arts and Technology. When I started taking art and graphic design classes people would ask me where I wanted my degree to take me. My response always included, "design Invitations, planners and adult coloring books". Mind you this was before adult coloring books were really on the market, and planners were something that you use in a high school classroom.

 

I learned my creative skills at Purdue, but my business brains all come from my parents. I grew up watching them raise a small business, as well as the four of us kids. From my parents I learned to treat each client with kindness and honesty, which is how I plan to run my business.

The first time I created a wedding invitation set was for my own wedding. (talk about nerve wracking!) I picked everything fonts, colors, wording, paper, even created a seal for the envelope. Then the moment of truth, mailing the invitations.

 

Just a couple of days after mailing out the invitations I received snapchats, texts, and direct messages from friends and family telling me how much they love the invitations. Let me tell you, there are few things better in life than a person telling you how great you are at something you love to do.
